GRAHAM KENDRICK has been described as the 'father of modern worship music' who's songs are 'crammed full of poetic, divine, biblical truth' that have 'sculpted a view of God that has impacted generations'.
The son of a Baptist pastor, Graham trained as a teacher but launched out as a singer/songwriter in 1972. Since then he has recorded over 30 albums and written over 400 songs, many of which are sung around the world in numerous languages. His 2001 album What Grace was the UK's #1 best selling praise and worship album of the year while his 2006 release Out of the Ordinary featured collaborations with US worship leader Paul Baloche and Delirious? guitarist Stu Garrard. In October 2007 Graham released his 3rd Christmas album entitled Dreaming of a Holy Night.
Graham is the songwriter behind the global phenomenon March for Jesus and the classic songs Shine Jesus shine, Knowing You, The Servant King and Amazing Love. He received a GMA Dove Award in 1995 for his international work and in 2000 he received an honorary doctorate in divinity from Brunel University in recognition of his contribution to the worship life of the church. He says his goal is 'to write songs which will equip Christians of whatever denomination to worship'.
Graham is married with 4 daughters and lives in Kent, England.
