No Scenes of Stately Majesty Ep - Graham Kendrick

[ album background ]

'No scenes of stately majesty' was written following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. The national outpouring of grief that followed led Graham to reflect on the events of the first Easter.

This is the original recording with Graham on vocals. The song was later recorded for the Millennium Chorus project with Clannad vocalist Máire Brennan. The live version was recorded at Newcastle City Hall in December 1997 during the 'Rumours of Angels' tour. 'To You O Lord' is a joyful affirmation of hope and trust in the midst of trouble based on Psalm 25. Again this is the original recording with a new version appearing on 2001's 'What Grace' album with Graham and Matt Redman on vocals. 'Who sees it all' was commissioned by Care Trust in 1997 to celebrate their 30th anniversary and appeared on their commemorative album 'Binding up the Brokenhearted'
