Midnight Star (Making at midnight)

Making at midnight, bathed in a new light
Gazing at starlight mysteries
Shaking with wonder, aching to wander where
The rising star may lead
Skies rearranging, everything changing
How could it ever be the same?
The sign of a new King, is high in the heavens
Nature drenched in Deity
Nature drenched in Deity

Star of a wondrous light
Of royal beauty bright
Carrying all our hopes and dreams

Riding the desert, leading us westward
Eyes ever upward day on day
Dreams of a new King, everlasting joy
Awakening everywhere
Hearts rearranging, everything changing
How could it ever be the same?
The sign of a new King, is high in the heavens
Nature drenched in Deity
Nature drenched in Deity

Star of a wondrous light
Of royal beauty bright
Carrying all our hopes and dreams
Star of mysterious light
Of royal beauty bright
Carrying all our hopes and dreams

Not in a palace, of marble and malice
Casting its shadow, darkly round
Nor where scholars, blind to the obvious
Scorn to seek where truth is found
But for the star
How could we have found him?
Poor men’s homes all look the same
But there on the bare earth
We poured forth our treasures
And all was drenched in Deity,
All was drenched in Deity
